Retailers
B&H Photo Highly reputable Big Apple based photo mail order house.  Extremely large selection of gear, very competitive pricing, and quick order execution.
Norman Camera Everyone should have a locally-owned, neighborhood camera shop to peruse, touch, and feel the latest gear and accessories.  The one in my town in business since 1957 fits this perfectly with a very knowledgeable, friendly, long-tenured staff.  Pricing, of course, doesn't match the likes of B&H, but the convenience and the hands-on buying experience can't be beat.

Photo Labs (Film & Digital)
A&I Photo Lab This Hollywood, California based lab offers professional, dependable service.  B&H Photo sells their prepaid 35mm E-6 slide film mailers for $8.49.  The quality, service, and price is great with typical turnaround time of one week door-to-door.
Kalamazoo Color Lab Another "nice to have" is a neighborhood photo lab.  This locally-owned shop has been in business in the same location for many years and provides professional, high-end processing, printing, and digital services.  And their four hour turnaround for E-6 slide film processing is a terrific service for those of us still shooting film.
